A day in Queens

I spent a delightful day here, beginning with breakfast in the only Panera I’ve ever seen with a fireplace blazing away.

Then on to my goal for the day: The Museum of the Moving Image. A veritable treasur trove for anyone interested in media. The better part of 5 hours went by like nothing. I’m posting some highlights, but this place is one you need to just experience. I even designed a Muppet and made an animation video.

The costumes are from The Labyrinth one of my favorites of Jim Henson’s movies. I found my two favorites Muppets: The Swedish Chef and Zoot. The museum is hosting a tremendous Jim Henson exhibit.

After the museum, I walked down to Sheila’s, had dinner, the canned back to hotel where I fell into bed. A very good day.

Ignore the partial caption on last picture, it is being stubborn about deleting.
